KEEPING GOING DURING LOCKDOWN…
Since the start of the coronavirus emergency we have done our best to continue serving our many faithful customers – and we are grateful to everyone who has continued to visit us for observing the rules on social distancing, however irritating these might sometimes appear.
The shop is getting busier now (it’s almost like old times!) but although some movement restrictions have been relaxed we still need to recognise that coronavirus remains a threat – and take the appropriate precautions.
So we would ask everyone to continue to observe the social distancing measures which are in place in the shop and to bear with us and be patient if at really busy times we have to enforce queuing at the entrance. It’s all in the interests of your safety – and that of our staff.
We’re still operating an online service for those who, for whatever reason, can’t get to the shop. We can’t offer the full range of products which you will still find in store but what we are providing is access to a slimmed-down choice of stock including most of the essentials which people rely on at the current time.
We are happy to deliver to homes up to a 20 mile radius from the premises with a small delivery charge of £2.50 – though delivery to North Petherton postal addresses is free. There is also a minimum spend of £30.
To start shopping go to…
Deliveries to North Petherton addresses are free of charge.
The charge for all other deliveries regardless of spend, outside of North Petherton is £2.50.
WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER…
…As Churchill put it in one of his more memorable wartime speeches and we’re doing our very best not to surrender amid all the current confusion – and to continue ensuring all our customers continue to be supplied.
But inevitably there have to be a few changes.
We are offering doorstep deliveries for those of you unable to get to the shops – and, incidentally, we are now launching a range of ready meals prepared in our own kitchens.
Please don’t order via Facebook. Instead, download the order form from this site and get it back to us, giving us as much notice as possible of when you require delivery.
Visiting the shop. We are still open and still welcoming customers through our doors. But inevitably there have to be rigorous controls on customer movements both for their safety and, of course, that of our staff.
Please observe the social distancing rules of keeping at least two metres apart from others. We are restricting to 10 the number of customers allowed in the shop at any one time and would ask you to queue outside standing by the marked bollards.
We would ask that only one person per household visits at any one time. Please don’t bring children: leave them with a relative or friend. We would ask elderly customers not to come to the shop at all but to send a relative, friend or their carer – or use our home delivery service.
Please use the hand sanitiser we have installed as you enter the shop. And please again, remember to keep your distance from our staff: it is vitally important that they stay safe and healthy if we are to continue trading and serving the community.
Thank you for your understanding – and your support.
